Monthly Check-Up
How my monthly check-up went. Fascinating Stuff.
So, I actually took advice from friends this week, simplified my life a bit with a chainsaw, and then slept sixteen hours two nights in a row. They all managed to convince me that I've been hitting the hard drugs a bit too hard. I checked my pharmacy records, and realized that quadrupling the dose of one class of drugs in a month is not good.
In fact, it's so not good that I lost 5 lbs since the last visit around six weeks ago. I've been steadily losing weight over the past year or so, going from around 230 to around 175, but the last 5 were all in the last month. Damn.
And so the doctor explained to me that listening to my friends was something he hadn't expected from me. I'm a bit of a stubborn fuck. But this time, well, even I finally managed to come out of whatever trance-like overworked under-funded mental state I had gotten stuck in, and heard.
Now, the truly amazing thing is that only two of these people actually know each other. They had been talking, but the other two don't know about each other, or the first two. Yet somehow all four were saying the same thing, and one of them managed to verbalize it enough to break through the fog.
So, now, did they all communicate, even if they only passed messages through my mind? That is the really interesting question.
